  FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

1) Can I really get in shape with so little exercise?
Yes, you can definitely achieve a high level of overall health and fitness using the SuperSlow method. When choosing an exercise regimen, it is the quality, not the quantity of exercise you should consider. SuperSlow provides a high-quality exercise that exceeds the strength-building and health-giving benefits of most types of workout.

2) Can I get aerobic benefits from SuperSlow alone?
The amount of aerobic benefit you can get from using SuperSlow is usually sufficient for the average participant. However, if you were training to be a cross country skier, or a long distance runner for example, even though you would have gained added strength from SuperSlow, we would obviously recommend that you do additional aerobic exercise in your area of interest. It is important to differentiate between aerobic exercise and cardiovascular exercise: SuperSlow provides more than enough cardiovascular benefits to keep you healthy.

3) Can I lose weight and body fat by just just doing SuperSlow alone or will I still need to diet?
Please don't let anyone convince you that any exercise alone will normally work while you're trying to loss weight or body fat. For almost all of us, building muscle and burning some additional calories though a program like SuperSlow will help, however, you will still need to watch the amount of food and treats you take in.

4) If I use the SuperSlow system regularly will I become "muscle bound" and tight?
No. It is almost impossible for 99% of all people (especially women) to generate that much muscle. The genetics needed to get that large are rare indeed! Even with those genetics, the “superhuman” muscles common to bodybuilders are frequently due to the use of steroids and other bodybuilding drugs. Men's muscles will grow larger but rarely enough to become muscle-bound. Because the range of motion involved with a properly administered SuperSlow workout actually stretches your muscles, you are actually less likely to become tight than with a traditional workout.

5) Can the SuperSlow system be used if a person has an illness, or is elderly, or if a woman is pregnant?
Yes: If your physician concludes (a) that you are not experiencing any unusual circumstances for your condition and (b) that you are in the range of what is normally acceptable for your condition, you can indeed benefit from the SuperSlow program. SuperSlow is a great way for women to reduce or avoid the back pain often associated with pregnancy.
